Meet the Team
Johannes heads up our commercial and litigation departments. He is a former advocate of the High Court of South Africa and member of the Cape and National Bar Associations. His litigation experience includes time spent with the London Bar.
Johannes left the Bar in 1997 to lead the litigation team of a prominent Cape Town based law firm. In January 2000 he established the firm of J S Spamer and Associates, which merged into Spamer Triebel in 2006. Johannes specializes in complex commercial and intellectual property litigation.
Suné obtained her BComm Law and LLB degrees at the University of the North West, Potchefstroom. She completed her final semester of postgraduate studies at the University of Leuven, Belgium in 2014 in International Business Law and Trade where a passion for commercial law was instilled in her. She completed her articles in 2016 at a renowned boutique commercial law firm in Cape Town where she started her practice as an attorney.
Her journey with Spamer Triebel Inc. started early in 2018 where she currently focuses on commercial law and litigation, both locally and abroad. Since joining Spamer Triebel she has also gained valuable experience in various aspects of corporate governance, including anti-bribery and corruption and data protection.
Jason obtained his LLB from the University of Stellenbosch, where he was a member and eventually Chairperson of the Constitutional Literacy and Services Initiative. After completing his articles of clerkship at a law firm in Cape Town, Jason was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court in 2019.
Jason joined Spamer Triebel Inc. in late 2020 as an Associate where he has gained valuable experience in all aspects of commercial law as well as in corporate advisory services. Jason is a Legal Tech enthusiast and is fascinated at the role it will play in shaping the modern global legal landscape.
Zelri matriculated with an International Baccalaureate Diploma from Abu Dhabi International (Pvt.) School in the United Arab Emirates in 2014, after which she returned back to South Africa to pursue her tertiary studies.
She went on to complete her BSc Political Studies Degree in 2018, as well as her LLB in 2019, at the University of Cape Town. With a keen interest in commercial law Zelri joined Spamer Triebel as a Candidate Attorney in 2020.
